A cafe located in the Roosevelt neighborhood of Seattle was in need of a new website.

The Task
The client wanted a modern looking site that would be easy to update, promote community, integrate social media tools, and ultimately increase sales by appealing to an expanded customer base.
The Process
- Meet with client to discuss goals and clarify objectives
- Information Architecture
- Wireframes
- Visual Design
- Protosite
- Build the site in WordPress
- Transfer site to client server space
Note: Testing for usability and browser compatibility is an essential step that occurs during all stages of production.
The Solution
- Implemented in WordPress to allow the client to easily make updates
- Clean design, simple navigation, attractive photographs and slideshows
- Calendar used to display upcoming and past events including live music acts, art openings, and meet-up groups
- Progress of the new site was communicated with the client through a Client Staging Area

The Outcome
The site was finished ahead of schedule and the client is extremely pleased with the new site.
This was my first paid freelance project. I learned a lot about how to interact with a client.
